Miriam Garcia, MD
Miriam N. García M.D. is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician who enjoys establishing new and lasting relationships with her patients, staff, and colleagues. She is passionate about taking a proactive and preventative approach to medicine, yet has the compassion, knowledge, and experience to help those with unexpected or ongoing medical problems.
Before joining, she worked in a dynamic San Francisco community practicing both outpatient and inpatient hospital medicine. For the past years she has valued her role as primary care physician for individuals and families of multiple diverse, socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds and feels that learning from these relationships have made her a better doctor. At CPMC /St. Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco she held various leadership roles including Chief of the Family Medicine Department. Also, during these years, she thoroughly enjoyed her role as volunteer Assistant Clinical Professor for both UCSF and Dartmouth-Geisel Medical Student clinic rotations.
Dr. Garcia completed her Family Medicine Residency at USC / CHMC Los Angeles, and her internship year near Chicago at Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. She graduated from Maimonides Medical School in Buenos Aires, Argentina and obtained her undergraduate training at UC Davis, California where she studied Psychology, Spanish Literature and Fine Art.
She loves languages and to travel, is fluent in Spanish and English, and looks forward to learn more. Most recently, Dr. Garcia has been a part of Crossover’s efforts to provide patient-centered support for clients seeking medical interventions pertaining to gender identity.
