Diane H. Browne, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist

Diane is an integrative psychologist who has been helping individuals, couples, and families for over 40 years. Her approach is warm and responsive. She works primarily with adults who want help with anxiety and panic, stress reduction, mindful eating, relationship issues, processing loss, healing from trauma, managing chronic medical conditions, and LGBTQ family issues. Diane is LGBTQ-affirming, and she has considerable experience assisting military, VIP families, and those who want to integrate Catholic, Protestant, and other spiritualities with their healthcare.

Trained as a Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist, Diane utilizes evidence-based practices and the creative process to promote growth and healing. She also uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bowen Family Systems, Existential Therapy, and Mindfulness tools to develop a unique action plan for each client, creating new perspectives, skills, and patterns which lead to healing. She has extensive training in Ericksonian Hypnosis through the Milton Erickson Foundation and holds a Blue Belt in Nia. The Nia technique combines modern dance, yoga, martial arts, and Tai Chi into an enjoyable movement practice that creates flexibility, fitness, and wellbeing.

As a young adult she lived in the Bay Area and in Santa Barbara, studying the concept of wholeness while training in a variety of outpatient and hospital settings. Upon her return to the East Coast, Diane completed a three-year, post-graduate program in Bowen Family Systems at Georgetown University Family Center under Murray Bowen, MD, one of the founders of Family Therapy.

Her leisure interests include dance, distance walking, creative writing, travel, and reading about neuroscience. Diane is looking forward to serving the Comcast community by providing wellness education and direct care as a member of the Crossover Philadelphia team.
