Sadly, there are many forms of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and there are also many reasons why the abused often stay in the relationship. “Violence” is not limited to the physical intent to hurt a partner—it also includes sexual (non-consent, threats), stalking, and emotional abuse. Jennifer Gaskins, a Licensed Psychologist at Crossover, joins Danielle to discuss the signs of IPV, the stressors that contribute to higher risk, and how a victim can receive help (or how a friend can give help). Hear how Jen guides her patients through mental health therapy, her research on people’s perceptions, and the factors that could minimize IPV. And, let’s keep passing this message along, to give hope for those who are suffering in silence.

If you or someone you know may be experiencing Intimate Partner Violence, please take action immediately.
